Segment 1 (The one true Church):
Why are you Catholic? Is it only because you were raised this way? Do you believe in the faith yourself? How will Confirmation effect your answer to these questions?
What is the difference between a ‘cradle catholic’ and a ‘convert catholic’? Which are you? Do you know any convert Catholics? Why did the choose to join the Church?
Who founded the Catholic Church? How is this different from other Protestant churches?
The Church is One. What are some of the ways the Church shows her unity?
Segment 2 (Catholic and Apostolic):
Have you ever heard someone say “I’m spiritual but not religious”? What does that mean? What is the difference between being spiritual and being religious? As Catholics are we spiritual or religious (or both)?
What is the mission of the Church? What role do you have in that mission?
Catholic means universal. What does it mean that our faith is universal?
What does it mean when we say the Church is Apostolic?
- What comprises the "deposit of faith"? Why do we need the magesterium to protect and preserve it?
Segment 3 (The Church is Holy):
Can anyone think of examples that display the Church’s holiness? What are good things the Church has done
How can we trust and believe in the holiness of the Church when some people in the Church have done very unholy/bad/evil things?
How would you respond to someone who questions the Church’s holiness?
